Our Creative Industries Award sponsor, ArtsTaunton, tells us why they support #TDBA18
“This sector has a huge economic value to our community, and has the ability to influence the wellbeing of our town probably more than any other. It is for this reason that we have agreed, as a board, to support the Taunton Deane Business Awards with bringing the Creative Industries Award forward for the second time in 2018.
“Last year we had some great applications and we are hoping to celebrate even more this year, learning how our colleagues within this sector are impacting on the people of Taunton Deane.
“The worthy winner last year was Bridgwater and Taunton College who delivered an amazing project working with homeless charity Open Door and Job Centre Plus. The effect on their students has been long lasting:
We were so pleased to have won the Creative Industries category at the Taunton Deane Business Awards last year. Our partnership work with Job Centre Plus and Open Door Taunton enabled our students completing their work experience, to develop a deep understanding of homeless people’s plights, and the knowledge and understanding that they gained equipped them when going out into the world and when embarking on their careers.
